After years of competing as an endurance & multi sport athlete,
my race schedule took an unexpected pause Fall, 2024–2026
due to two major surgeries just months apart.

 

The first was a shoulder reconstruction, followed shortly afterward by emergency surgery to remove a life-threatening iliac artery aneurysm. The back-to-back procedures required an extended period away from training and competition, with recovery taking much longer than
simply returning to everyday activity.

 

The road back to racing has taken nearly two years, but step by step,
the miles have returned, the strength has come back, and the
starting line is once again where I belong.

 

I'm incredibly grateful to be healthy, active, and competing again, and I'm excited for what the next chapter holds. The comeback is officially underway!
